چکیده

Groundwater is a primary freshwater resource for human consumption and an essential source industry agriculture. Therefore, understanding its spatial temporal trends drivers crucial governments to take appropriate measures manage water resources. This paper uses Gravity Recovery Climate Experiment (GRACE) satellite data the Global Land Data Assimilation System (GLDAS) derive groundwater storage anomalies (GWSAs) analyze of GWSA in different regions China (Xinjiang, Tibet, Inner Mongolia, North Plain, South China, Northeast China). It used groundwater-level observation verify accuracy estimates analyzed regional changes. The results showed that: (1) increased at rate 4.79 mm/a from 2003 2016, other decreasing trend. Among them, decline rates Xinjiang, were ?6.24 mm/a, ?3.33 ?3.17 ?7.35 ?0.75 respectively. (2) annual-scale was improved after deducting gravity losses due raw coal quality, correlation coefficient between levels monitored by wells increased. (3) In annual consumed mining, industrial, agricultural activities had greater impact on than rainfall temperature, so these might be main continued Xinjiang. Water mining Mongolia Plain. increase mainly recharge rainfall.

Predicting groundwater level changes using GRACE data

[1] The purpose of this work is to investigate the feasibility of downscaling Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) satellite data for predicting groundwater level changes and, thus, enhancing current capability for sustainable water resources management. In many parts of the world, water management decisions are traditionally informed by in situ observation networks which, unfortunat...

GRACE, GLDAS and measured groundwater data products show water storage loss in Western Jilin, China.

Water storage depletion is a worsening hydrological problem that limits agricultural production in especially arid/semi-arid regions across the globe. Quantifying water storage dynamics is critical for developing water resources management strategies that are sustainable and protective of the environment. This study uses GRACE (Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment), GLDAS (Global Land Data A...

Estimating Groundwater Storage Changes in the Western Kansas Using Grace Data

The Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) delivers monthly gravity fields since it was launched in March 2002, which provides a new way to monitor the groundwater storage variations for large regions. In this study, we attempt to apply the GRACE data combined with estimated soil moisture based on the water balance approach to estimate monthly groundwater changes in the western Kansas ...

Groundwater storage changes in arctic permafrost watersheds from GRACE and in situ measurements

The Arctic permafrost regions make up the largest area component of the cryosphere. Observations from the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) mission offer to provide a greater understanding of changes in water mass within permafrost regions. We investigate a GRACE monthly time series, snow water equivalent from the special scanning microwave imager (SSM/I), vegetation water content...
